Atlapedia provides brief information about every country in the world, including political and physical maps.

Fact Monster

Fact Monster links you to useful information--FAST! You can search a dictionary, thesaurus, almanac or encyclopedia through this one site, and get reliable information. Be sure to check out the Fact Monster Favorites and see what other kids are researching and learning.

Rhyming Dictionary

Everyone can write poems with this great website. Just don't look for a rhyme for orange...there isn't one!

Farmer's Almanac for Kids

You can spend hours exploring here! Information on weather and astronomy that can be customized to your neighborhood. Lots of fun historical facts, too.

Carlsbad Public Library

The Carlsbad Library has databases and free online encyclopedias for you to use. Just type in your library card number.

San Marcos Library

The San Marcos branch of the County Library has the World Book Online. Just type in your library card number, and use this great resource at home. Don't have a library card yet? Stop by the library--the San Marcos branch is open 7 days a week now!
